Printer Setup


Step1: Connect the Ethernet cable to LAN port of MC print3

Step2: Install the “StarPRNT SDK” from App Store and Open it.

Step3: Find its IP address.

  1. Click on “Unselected State”

  2. Select “LAN”

  3. Note down the IP address from here. Example:192.168.0.48

    image


    Step4: Open the “Dolphin POS” App. Go to “Setup”


    1. Enable “Star Web Print ON”

    2. Put the IP address in “Printer IP”, which we got from Step3 example: 192.168.x.xxx

    3. Is star Barcode Reader [Peripheral needs to be connected to 0.5A Port]

    4. Is Star display unit ON [Peripheral needs to be connected to 0.5A Port]

Step5: Close the Dolphin POS App and open it. You are ready now!!


How to make the mC-Print3 IP address to Static from DHCP?


Step1: Open the setting screen (Web Configuration) of the printer via the Web browser.

http://[Printer IP address]


Note: You can perform Self-Printing to get present IP address


  1. First Power “OFF” the device,

  2. Hold down the FEED button,

  3. Then press the Power button, and release it.

Step2: “Login” to Web Configuration

Login name: root


Password: Log in with the changed password or default password is “public”

Step3: Specify static IP address


From the menu button https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/menu.png in the upper left, open “IP Parameters” https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_1.png,

select “Static” https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_2.png, enter IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_3.png, and tap [Submit] https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_4.png.

Step4: Save settings to printer


From the menu button https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/menu.png in the upper left, tap ”Save” https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_5.png, select Save - Configuration Printing - Restart device https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_6.png, and tap “Execute” https://www.star-m.jp/products/s_print/mcprint3/manual/illust/Num/num_7.png. The settings are saved to the printer and printed out.

Trouble shooting mC-Print3 Hardware and its setup issues


Step1: Install “mC-Print Utility” tool from the Apple Apps store.

Step2: Open the utility tool and it should list below options
